Not long ago, Dan Lok was just a poor immigrant boy. He had nothing but a strong desire to get out of debt and make enough to provide for his single mom. With this strong desire, Dan quit his job as a grocery bagger. He dropped out of college. And he became an entrepreneur.
After 13 failed businesses, Dan finally became a self-made millionaire at age 27 and multi-millionaire by age 30.
Fast forward to today, Dan is now an official Forbes Book author with over 13 internationally best-selling books. He’s the founder and chairman of several multimillion dollar businesses. And outside of his business success, he is one of the most-watched, most quoted and most followed educators of our time. In total, his videos have been watched over 100-million times across his social media platforms. His emails are read by over 2,000,000 people every month.

Please understand that by watching Dan’s videos or enrolling in his programs does not mean you’ll get results close to what he’s been able to do (or do anything for that matter).
He’s been in business for over 20 years and his results are not typical.
Most people who watch his videos or enroll in his programs get the “how to” but never take action with the information. Dan is only sharing what has worked for him and his students.
Your results are dependent on many factors… including but not limited to your ability to work hard, commit yourself, and do whatever it takes.
Entering any business is going to involve a level of risk as well as massive commitment and action. If you're not willing to accept that, please DO NOT WATCH DAN’S VIDEOS OR SIGN UP FOR ONE OF HIS PROGRAMS.
This video is about 27 Words To Avoid In Sales
This is teaching me more than my business school degree.
Yo I need the opposite of yours 😂😂…
Degrees are worthless these days unless you get it from oxford, harvard or London school of economics and in practical life it’s all depends on your skills and experience which uni’s aren’t teaching at all!
Warren Buffet attributes his success to the fact that his competition are business grads 😉😝🙃🥳!
Omg I’m the 3000 like
agreed
This man’s amazing, I’ve never been a sales person but I’m very interested in copywriting, and besides I used the phrase “to be honest” and learned it’s a bad one, I replaced it with “to be frank with you” without knowing it’s the same thing.
All the video is pure gold
I really admire how much psychology goes into the whole closing process!!!
Nlp
It’s an art form. Mental game
Selling is an Art form my friend
Guys subscribe, and watch all of his videos, this guy’s very straight forward, clear and concise. These is all you want in your life, lessons and experiences to compare, ponder and apply. Excellent job Dan! Keep going! God bless and more power!
“To be honest” got me. I say that a lot 😂 he’s right. Communication is very important in sales and often over looked. Thank you for this golden video 💕
Yup I find you very attractive!
People will definitely buy your product because you r a lady and everyone first hv respect for a lady and as we all know dat for whom we hv respect definitely we don’t deny to their opinions
This is AMAZING!!! Super actionable, simple to use knowledge. Most of it I never say, but there’s always been something about “just following up” that always felt like it de-valued me, if only because it’s so mundane and common.
Dan, I had to take the time and tell you, thank you. Your philosophy on sales is 100% especially for me as a tele-sales! Words are my ‘only’ magic when cold calling. Instead of sign contracts, ‘partner with us’ or ‘ill send the agreements over so we can get started’. Boom. Pretty much everything you’ve said on this video, is what we do. I was invented to be a part of the sales lab at Main Street hub (social media marketing), then they were bought buy GoDaddy. We molded different scripts for different verticals/industries. I love it man! Keep preaching the good gospel!
Hello Dan! Today I learned many things from this video and the one that intrigued me was when you said to add value to people who has not accepted our offer at 8:04
Could you share some examples what kind of value we can give while they have not been interested? Thanks
I’ll give u the example even tho it is 1 year late.
Imagine you offer an insurance and they reject your offer. And they said the reason is they dont have enough money to afford.
You can say “Its cool, because you know we can buy insurance anytime, but first thing first we have to manage our cash flow. Whats the point have insurance right now, if we hardly pay our bills. So if you ready to know more about our most economic insurance package, please dont hesitate to call me, I’ll right here give you latest update.”
That way you dont give a guilty or bad moment to them. Instead you support theor decision.
Mr. Dan, you don’t know how helpful you are to the beginners in the field. Thank you so much for giving me the strength and motivation to me that I CAN DO…!!!
I love all of the valuable info here! I took notes and I’m ready to convert. Thank you so much.
Very good, Dan! I’ve been guilty of the “follow-up” word, so much appreciate your view. I especially like the last one. Who is the better business is a judgment to be made by that prospect. Complimenting other businesses is a show of good character and it’s a form of gratitude. We always want to give in to every opportunity of gratitude. Thank you, Dan. Great video!
I started avoiding these 27 words & these really improved my closings..
Thanks for these amazing tips..
Microsoft tecc Center?
Dan is too clear in conversation.Very specific and new contents are always encouraging..Thanks a lot.stay safe.I m greedy for your tips 😀
Years of sales experience in a few minutes. Great video. I always ask the people in our team to listen to themselves when they talk, truly listen. You will see you use most of those words. When you start listening you start realizing you are doing it, and that will be the first step to get out of this habit of bad words.
One more word that I will add is BUT, it should never be part of your vocabulary how many of you agree with this?
I love it Dan when you suggested “own” and “take it home it you” in place of buy… very powerful!!!! Thanks
I love it too. And also love those who loved it
that one teen who watched this video
“hey, wanna own me?” “wanna, take me home with you?” Lmao I’m dead
The same way is Robert Kyiosaki doing money with his financial courses. Nothing wrong here, this just prove that he is a real salesman. Only 1% that attend this kind of classes will eventually get to do profit, you have to keep that in mind. What Dan Lok is doing requires a great deal of dedication, discipline and work . Thank you for your videos, you have my respect. Best regards!
I used the phrase “would you like to take it home with you” on a musical instrument sale and it resulted in a really smooth close. Thank you @DanLok for this amazing video and your practical insights!
This guy is great! Been watching two other sales training guys on here that I will not mention and THIS guy is truly teaching me things and this is only the third video of his I’ve watched. Looking forward to watching more and more!
These really helps and hit me big time as I just realized that I should avoid using some phrases I used to say daily.
I’m a new loan officer and am having panic attacks at the thought of making calls and stumbled upon your videos. Thank you from the bottom of my nervous heart for taking the time to help others.
